Albert Brooks is a comedian who has made a few films and been in a bunch more. He usually stars in his own films in addition to writing and directing them. To me, he is very funny. Modern Romance was the first film of his I saw. I knew I really liked Brooks after the next two I saw, Real Life and Lost in America, which are both hilarious. Those are my 3 favorite Albert Brooks films. He may not be the king of directors or comedians anything, but I think he is overlooked and underrated.
