Mechanism from the author's restored Park-O-Meter, a 2-hour, penny/nickel
meter. This mechanism was completely disassembled, cleaned, and almost
every part and fastener was polished. Note the brass front and back plates.
Most other parts in this mechanism are either brass or stainless steel.
In contrast, later models have aluminum front and back plates, and contain
